Adoptions
Each new life is a precious gift. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to have children of his or her own. Adoption is a wonderful alternative if you find that you cannot have children of your own. However, the adoption process can seem complicated and filled with peril. Having the right agency and attorney can ease your mind while going through this stressful but joyous time in your life. Our firm also represents step-parents who desire to adopt their step-children and relatives who need to adopt a grandchild, niece, nephew, brother or sister.
Assisted Reproductive Technology
If one or both of the potential parents desire to have a genetic connection with their child but are unable to conceive a child on their own, assisted reproductive technology may provide the answer. However, there are often many legal ramifications to such a decision. Sometimes a gestational surrogate is needed, sometimes a traditional surrogate, a known egg donor, or a known sperm donor. The legal and financial relationships between these parties are often complicated. It is vitally important that the expectations and responsibilities of all parties be spelled out clearly and that all parties involved have competent and experience legal representation.
At New Beginnings Family Law, P.C., we represent surrogates, egg donors, and potential parents in these types of situations. We are one of only a few firms in Alabama that handle these types of cases. If you are thinking about having a child through assisted reproduction technology or being a surrogate, contact our firm for an initial consultation to learn about the many aspects of this new but rapidly expanding field.
No representation is made that the quality of the legal services to be performed is greater than the quality of legal services performed by other lawyers.
